Cancel Adobe CC on the Website
Go to account.adobe.com
Visit account.adobe.com and sign in with your Adobe ID. Pro tip: if you are not sure which email you used, Adobe sends billing receipts to your account email -- check your inbox for clues.
Click on Plans & Products
In the left sidebar (or top navigation on mobile), click Plans & Products. You will see all your active Adobe subscriptions listed here, including Creative Cloud, Acrobat, and any single-app plans.
Click Manage Plan on your subscription
Find your Creative Cloud plan and click Manage plan. This opens a panel showing your plan details, renewal date, and management options.
Select Cancel Plan
Click Cancel plan. Adobe will walk you through several screens: a reason for canceling, offers to keep you (often 40-60% discounts!), and a summary of any early termination fees. Read carefully before confirming.
Confirm your cancellation
After navigating the retention offers, click Confirm to finalize. You will receive a confirmation email. Save it -- you will want proof in case anything goes sideways.
Warning: Early Termination Fee! If you are on an annual plan paid monthly and cancel before the year is up, Adobe charges 50% of your remaining contract balance. To avoid this, wait until your annual renewal date, or try negotiating a discount during the cancellation flow instead.

Adobe is famous for offering retention discounts. When you start the cancellation process, they often offer 40-60% off your current plan. If you still need Adobe apps but want to pay less, this is a legit strategy that works for most people.
What Happens After You Cancel Adobe CC?
Apps revert to free/limited mode
Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, and other apps will stop working as paid versions. Some apps offer limited free functionality, but most features will be locked.
Cloud storage gets reduced
Your Creative Cloud storage drops from 100GB (or 1TB) to 2GB. Download your files before canceling -- anything over the limit could eventually be deleted.
Export files to non-Adobe formats first
Before canceling, save your PSD files as PNG/JPG, your AI files as SVG, and your Premiere projects as MP4. You will not be able to edit Adobe-native formats without a subscription.

Video editing & colorFrequently Asked Questions
Will I be charged an early termination fee?
If you are on an annual plan paid monthly, yes -- Adobe charges 50% of your remaining months. If you are on a true month-to-month plan, there is no fee. To check your plan type, go to account.adobe.com and look at your plan details.
What happens to my Adobe fonts?
Adobe Fonts access ends when your subscription does. Any documents using Adobe Fonts will revert to default system fonts. Export important documents to PDF first to preserve the typography.
Can I get a refund within 14 days?
Adobe offers a 14-day refund window for new subscriptions and renewals. If you are within 14 days of your latest charge, you can request a full refund during the cancellation process or by contacting support.
Can I downgrade to a single app instead of canceling?
Yes. If you mainly use Photoshop or Lightroom, you can switch to the Photography Plan ($9.99/mo) or a Single App plan ($22.99/mo) instead of the full All Apps plan. Do this through Plans & Products in your account.
How do I keep my files after canceling?
Download all your Creative Cloud files before canceling. Export work to universal formats (PSD to PNG, AI to SVG, INDD to PDF). Your cloud storage drops to 2GB after cancellation, so anything over that limit may be deleted after a grace period.
