Indian Express Premium offers unlimited access to exclusive journalism, in-depth analyses, UPSC study content, expert opinion columns, and an ad-lite experience. If you want to cancel your recurring subscription on indianexpress.com, follow the steps below to turn off auto-renewal and stop future billing.
Go to indianexpress.com and click the Sign In button. Use the email address or social login (Google/Facebook) linked to your premium subscription. Ensure you are logged into the correct account.
Click on your profile icon and go to My Account or Subscription. This page displays your current IE Premium plan details, including the plan type (monthly or annual), billing date, and renewal information.
Click Cancel Subscription or Turn Off Auto-Renewal. Indian Express may present a retention offer or ask for your feedback. Proceed through the cancellation flow and look for an on-screen confirmation. A cancellation email will be sent to your registered address.
Premium access continues until the end of your billing period. You can still read exclusive articles, UPSC content, and premium opinions until that date.
No more charges. Your card is not billed once auto-renewal is turned off. No action needed on your end after cancellation.
Free access reverts. After expiry, you can access a limited number of free articles per month. Premium-only content and UPSC material will be locked.
Refund policy: Indian Express generally does not offer prorated refunds for cancelled subscriptions. Contact their support for billing disputes.
