Cancel MLB.TV on the Website
Sign in to MLB.com
Head to mlb.com and sign in with your MLB.com account. Make sure you are using the same account you subscribed with -- if you signed up through a cable provider or another platform, the process may differ.
Navigate to Account Subscription
Click on your profile icon, then go to Account. Find the Subscription section that shows your current MLB.TV plan, billing date, and payment method.
Click Cancel Subscription
Click the Cancel button next to your subscription. MLB might try to tempt you with a discount or remind you of all the baseball you will be missing. Stay strong -- or take the discount, we will not judge.
Confirm the cancellation
Follow the confirmation prompts to finalize your cancellation. You will receive an email confirming it. Your access continues until the end of your current billing period, so you can still catch a few more games.
Subscribed via Apple or Google? If you signed up for MLB.TV through the App Store or Google Play, you need to cancel through your device settings instead. Go to Settings > Subscriptions on iPhone, or Google Play > Subscriptions on Android.
What Happens After You Cancel MLB.TV?
Access continues until end of billing period
You keep full MLB.TV access until your current subscription period expires. No immediate cutoff -- watch as many games as you can before the clock runs out.
Your MLB.com account stays active
Canceling MLB.TV does not delete your MLB.com account. You can still access free content, scores, standings, and news on the site and app.
Live game streaming stops
Once your subscription expires, you lose access to live and on-demand game streams. The offseason is free real estate though -- not much to watch anyway.

Will I get a refund if I cancel MLB.TV?
It depends. Monthly subscribers will not get a refund for the partial month remaining. Annual subscribers may get a prorated refund if they cancel early in the season, but refund requests are handled case-by-case. Contact MLB customer support for specific refund inquiries.
Does MLB.TV auto-renew?
Yes. MLB.TV auto-renews each season unless you cancel before the renewal date. Annual subscriptions typically renew at the start of the new baseball season, so keep an eye on that February/March billing date.
What about blackout restrictions?
MLB.TV blacks out local market games -- meaning you cannot watch your hometown team live. Games become available 90 minutes after they end. This is the single biggest complaint about the service and a common reason people cancel.
Can I watch MLB.TV during the offseason?
During the offseason, MLB.TV offers access to archived games from previous seasons. If you are canceling during the offseason, you are not missing any live action anyway -- just reruns of walk-off home runs.
Is there a cheaper MLB.TV option?
MLB.TV sometimes offers a single-team package at a lower price, which lets you follow just one out-of-market team. Monthly plans are also available if you do not want to commit to a full season. Check mlb.com for current pricing.
