How to Cancel Tidal in About 60 Seconds

Since April 2024, the HiFi and HiFi Plus tiers merged into one plan at $10.99/month. One cancel page. Older guides are outdated.

The fast path (direct subscribers)

account.tidal.com → sign in → profile icon → SubscriptionCancel Subscription → confirm. Screenshot the result.

If you signed up inside the iPhone or Android app, your cancel button is somewhere else (see below). The screenshot tip is load-bearing. We'll explain.

The thing Tidal doesn't tell you

Screenshot the confirmation page.

The cancel UX is clean; the backend isn't always. The BBB file has a recurring pattern: click Cancel, see the confirmation, keep getting charged. Tidal doesn't always email a confirmation, and support is form-only. Screenshot the "Subscription Cancelled" page. If a charge shows up later, you have proof for a chargeback.

Find your cancel button (it depends on who bills you)

Cancel happens wherever the money leaves your account. Pick the one that matches you.

If Tidal bills you directly (most web signups)

account.tidal.com → sign in → profile icon → SubscriptionCancel Subscription → confirm. No retention popup, no "pause for a month" detour, no survey gate. Tidal "rarely offers retention discounts," per the GoCancelIt playbook.

If you signed up through the App Store (iOS)

account.tidal.com will not show a Cancel button. That's expected. Cancel via Apple: Settings → your name → SubscriptionsTidalCancel Subscription. Any refund request also goes through Apple, not Tidal.

If you signed up inside the Android app (Google Play)

Play Store → profile icon → Payments & subscriptionsTidalCancel. Or in the Tidal app: My Collection → gear icon → Manage AccountChange Your PlanCancel.

Old Sprint or Cash App perk?

The Sprint/T-Mobile Tidal bundle ended September 1, 2023, terminated automatically. Cash App: no active Tidal promo confirmed for 2024 or 2025. Verify in Cash App settings.

When the charge actually stops

HiRes FLAC and Dolby Atmos run through the end of the billing period. No prorated refund: US subscribers get nothing for unused days. UK/EU/EEA: 14-day refund window from original purchase, but only if you haven't streamed or downloaded anything. One play closes it.

Library and playlists stay tied to your account indefinitely. Re-subscribe and they reappear, but you can't see them in the gap (no greyed-out free view). Switching services? Export with Soundiiz first. The April 2024 MQA removal is permanent.

Questions people actually ask

Why does my Tidal account page have no Cancel button?

You signed up through Apple or Google Play, so they bill you, not Tidal. Cancel in iOS Settings or the Play Store. Tidal can't process a cancel for a sub it doesn't bill.

Will my playlists be there if I come back later?

Yes, indefinitely. Re-subscribe and your library reappears. You can't see any of it during the gap. If you're switching services, export with Soundiiz first.

Now that Tidal is off the card, what else is still on it?

Most people find two to four forgotten subscriptions the first time they look. Subcut shows every recurring charge on your card in about 60 seconds, no bank login required.
