Cancel Webflow on the Website

1

Log in to Webflow

Head to webflow.com and sign in. Make sure you are using the account that owns the site plan or workspace plan you want to cancel. Collaborators cannot cancel plans they do not own.

2

Navigate to Site or Workspace Settings

For a site plan: Open the project, click the gear icon, and go to the site's Settings. For a workspace plan: Click your avatar in the top-left and go to Workspace Settings. Webflow has two types of plans, and they cancel in different places.

3

Go to Plans & Billing

Click Plans & Billing (or just Billing) in the settings sidebar. You will see your current plan, billing cycle, and next renewal date. Take note of when your current period ends.

4

Click Cancel Plan

Look for the Cancel Plan option. Webflow will ask you why you are leaving and might offer alternatives like a downgrade or a pause. If you are determined, keep clicking through.

5

Confirm Your Cancellation

Review the summary of what you are losing, then confirm. You will get a confirmation email. Your plan features stay active until the end of the current billing period -- so no rush to export everything in a panic.

Export Your Site Code First

Webflow lets you export clean HTML, CSS, and JavaScript on paid site plans. Once you cancel, you lose the ability to export. Go to your project > Project Settings > Export Code to download a .zip of your site before canceling. This is your safety net for migrating to another host.

Cancel Webflow via App Store or Google Play

Webflow is primarily a web-based tool, so most subscriptions are managed directly on their website. However, if you subscribed through a mobile app store, you will need to cancel there.

Apple App Store

  1. 1. Open Settings on your iPhone or iPad
  2. 2. Tap your name at the top
  3. 3. Tap Subscriptions
  4. 4. Find and tap Webflow
  5. 5. Tap Cancel Subscription

Google Play Store

  1. 1. Open the Google Play Store app
  2. 2. Tap your profile icon
  3. 3. Tap Payments & subscriptions
  4. 4. Tap Subscriptions
  5. 5. Find Webflow and tap Cancel

What Happens After You Cancel Webflow?

Features active until billing period ends

Your site remains published and all paid features work normally until the end of your current billing cycle. Use this time to export your code and migrate.

Published site goes offline

Once the billing period ends, your published site is taken down. Visitors will see a Webflow placeholder page instead of your beautiful design. Your project still exists in the Designer though.

Projects revert to free plan limits

Your projects drop to the Starter plan, which limits you to 1 page, 50 CMS items, and no code export. You can still edit in the Designer, but you cannot publish or export until you re-subscribe.

Custom domain disconnects

Your custom domain stops working with Webflow hosting. Since Webflow does not sell domains directly, your domain stays with your registrar. Just update the DNS records to point somewhere new.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I export my Webflow site before canceling?

Yes, and you absolutely should. On paid site plans, go to Project Settings > Export Code to download a .zip file containing your HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. This gives you a fully functional static site you can host anywhere. Just note that CMS-powered dynamic content and Webflow-specific features like forms and interactions may not carry over perfectly.

Can I get a refund from Webflow?

Webflow does not offer standard refunds on subscription plans. Monthly plans are charged at the beginning of each billing period. If you have a special circumstance, like being charged right after a price increase, reach out to Webflow support -- they handle refund requests on a case-by-case basis.

Do I need to cancel both my site plan and workspace plan?

Yes. Webflow separates site plans (hosting, publishing, CMS) from workspace plans (team collaboration, staging). If you have both, you need to cancel each independently. Site plans are managed per-project, while workspace plans are in your Workspace Settings.

What happens to my custom domain?

Webflow does not sell domains -- you brought your own. When you cancel your site plan, your domain simply stops resolving to Webflow's servers. Update the DNS records at your domain registrar to point to your new hosting provider. No transfer needed since the domain was never "at" Webflow.

Will I lose my Webflow projects entirely?

No. Your projects remain in your Webflow account on the free Starter plan. You can still open them in the Designer, edit elements, and view your work. You just cannot publish or export code without a paid plan. Think of it as read-and-edit access without the publish button.
