Cancel Canva Pro on the Website
Log in to Canva
Go to canva.com in your web browser and sign in with the email and password associated with your Canva Pro account. Make sure you are logged into the correct account if you have multiple Canva accounts.
Go to Account Settings
Click your profile picture or initials in the top-right corner of the page. From the dropdown menu, select Account settings. This opens your account management page.
Navigate to Billing & Teams
In the left sidebar of Account Settings, click Billing & teams. This page shows your current plan (Canva Pro, Canva for Teams, or Canva for Education), billing cycle, payment method, and next renewal date.
Click Cancel Subscription
Find your Canva Pro plan details and click Cancel subscription. Canva will ask you why you are canceling and may offer you a discounted rate, a temporary pause, or other retention offers. You can decline all of these to proceed.
Confirm Your Cancellation
Review the cancellation summary and click Yes, cancel subscription to finalize. You will receive a confirmation email from Canva. Your Pro features remain active until the end of your current billing period.
Download Your Premium Designs First
Before canceling, download any designs that use premium templates, stock photos, or premium elements. After your Pro subscription ends, these designs will display watermarks on premium assets when you try to download them. Export them now while you still have access.
Subscribed Through Apple or Google?
If you subscribed to Canva Pro through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, you must cancel through those platforms. The Canva website will not show a cancel option for App Store subscriptions.
Cancel via iPhone / iPad
- 1. Open Settings on your iPhone
- 2. Tap your name at the top (Apple Account)
- 3. Tap Subscriptions
- 4. Tap Canva in the list
- 5. Tap Cancel Subscription and confirm
Cancel via Android
- 1. Open the Google Play Store app
- 2. Tap your profile icon (top right)

Cancel Canva for Teams
Only the team admin (account owner) can cancel a Canva for Teams plan:
- 1. Log in as the team admin at canva.com

- 3. Click Cancel subscription under your team plan
- 4. All team members will lose Pro features when the billing period ends
What Happens After You Cancel Canva Pro?
Your designs are saved and accessible
All designs you created stay in your Canva account. You can still view, edit, and share them on the free plan. However, any premium elements (stock photos, icons, illustrations) used in your designs will show watermarks when you try to download or export them.
You lose access to premium templates and elements
The millions of premium templates, stock photos, videos, audio tracks, and graphics included with Canva Pro become unavailable on the free plan. You can still use free templates and the basic element library that comes with Canva Free.
Brand Kit and Magic Resize become unavailable
Pro features like Brand Kit (custom fonts, colors, logos), Magic Resize (one-click format conversion), Background Remover, Content Planner, and unlimited folders are no longer accessible. Your Brand Kit data is saved and will return if you resubscribe.
Cloud storage drops to 5 GB
Canva Pro includes 1 TB of cloud storage. After canceling, your storage limit drops to 5 GB on the free plan. If you are over the 5 GB limit, you will not be able to upload new files until you delete enough content to get under the limit.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will I lose my designs if I cancel Canva Pro?
No. All your designs remain in your Canva account. You can still view and edit them. However, if a design uses premium elements (Pro stock photos, premium icons, etc.), those elements will show watermarks when you try to download. Download any designs with premium content before canceling.
Can I get a refund from Canva?
Canva may offer refunds on a case-by-case basis, especially if you cancel soon after being charged. Contact Canva support through their help center to request a refund. Annual subscribers who cancel early may be eligible for a prorated refund, but it is not guaranteed.
Can I pause my Canva Pro subscription instead of canceling?
Yes. During the cancellation process, Canva may offer you the option to pause your subscription for one or more months. This is a good option if you plan to come back but want to save money for a period. Your designs and settings are preserved during the pause.
What happens to my Brand Kit after canceling?
Your Brand Kit data (custom fonts, colors, logos) is saved in your account but becomes inaccessible on the free plan. If you resubscribe to Pro, your Brand Kit will be restored exactly as you left it. You will not need to set it up again.
I am a team member, not the admin. How do I cancel?
Only the team admin (the person who set up and pays for the team plan) can cancel a Canva for Teams subscription. If you want to leave the team, ask the admin to remove you. This may reduce the number of seats and lower the team's bill.
