Deleting the App Does NOT Cancel Your Subscription
This is the most common mistake people make. Removing Coffee Meets Bagel from your phone does absolutely nothing to stop the charges. Apple and Google will keep billing you until you cancel through your phone's subscription settings. Do not delete the app thinking you are done.
Cancel on iPhone / iPad (App Store)
Open Settings on your iPhone
Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad. Not the Coffee Meets Bagel app, not the App Store app. The actual Settings app with the gray gear icon.
Tap your name at the top
Tap your name at the very top of the Settings screen. This takes you to your Apple Account (formerly Apple ID) settings where subscriptions are managed.
Tap Subscriptions
Tap Subscriptions. This shows you all your active and expired Apple subscriptions. Scroll through the list to find Coffee Meets Bagel.
Tap Coffee Meets Bagel
Tap on Coffee Meets Bagel to see your plan details, including what you are paying and when it renews next. This is also where the magic cancel button lives.
Tap Cancel Subscription and confirm
Tap Cancel Subscription at the bottom and confirm when prompted. Done. Your premium access continues until the current billing period ends, then you drop to the free plan. That was easier than most first dates.
Cancel on Android (Google Play)
Open the Google Play Store
Open the Google Play Store app on your Android device. Not the CMB app. The Play Store with the colorful triangle icon.
Tap your profile icon
Tap your profile icon in the top-right corner of the Play Store. Then tap Payments & subscriptions.
Tap Subscriptions
Tap Subscriptions to see all your active Google Play subscriptions. Find Coffee Meets Bagel in the list.
Cancel the subscription
Tap Coffee Meets Bagel, then tap Cancel subscription. Follow the prompts to confirm. Your premium features remain active until the end of your current billing cycle.
