Cancel a Framer Site Plan
Sign in to Framer
Go to framer.com and sign in with the account that owns the site plan you want to cancel. Make sure you are using the correct account, as site plans are tied to specific workspaces.
Open the site you want to cancel
From your Framer dashboard, click on the specific project that has the paid plan (Mini, Basic, or Pro). Each site in Framer can have its own independent plan, so you need to cancel each one separately.
Go to Site Settings and Billing
Inside the project editor, click the gear icon or go to Site Settings. Then navigate to the Plans or Billing tab. You will see your current plan and billing details.
Click Cancel Plan or Downgrade to Free
Click Cancel Plan or Downgrade to Free. Framer may ask you why you are canceling and may offer a discount to stay. If you want to fully cancel, decline the offer and proceed.
Confirm the cancellation
Click the confirmation button to finalize. Your site plan will remain active until the end of the current billing period. You will receive a confirmation email from Framer. After the period ends, the site reverts to the free tier.
Subscribed Through Apple or Google?
Framer is primarily a web-based tool, so most subscriptions are handled directly through the Framer website. However, if you subscribed through an app store, cancel through that platform instead.

What Happens After You Cancel Framer?
Your site stays live on the free subdomain
After canceling, your site reverts to Framer's free plan. It will still be accessible on your free framer.website subdomain (e.g., yoursite.framer.website), but with free-tier limitations on bandwidth and features.
Custom domains stop working
Custom domains (e.g., yourcompany.com) require a paid site plan. Once your billing period ends, the custom domain will disconnect from your Framer site. You still own the domain and can reconnect it if you resubscribe.
Paid features are disabled
Features like password protection, custom code, CMS collections beyond the free limit, and form submissions beyond the free quota will stop working. A "Made in Framer" badge may reappear on your site.
Your project files are not deleted
Framer does not delete your project when you cancel. All your designs, pages, and CMS content remain in the editor. If you resubscribe later, you can pick up right where you left off without losing any work.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will my Framer site go offline if I cancel?
Not entirely. Your site will revert to the free plan, meaning it will still be accessible on the free framer.website subdomain. However, if you are using a custom domain, that will stop working. The site itself stays published with free-tier bandwidth limits.
Do I need to cancel each site separately?
Yes. Framer bills each site plan independently. If you have paid plans on multiple sites, you need to go into each site's settings and cancel them one by one. Canceling one site plan does not affect your other sites.
What is the difference between a site plan and a workspace plan?
A site plan (Mini, Basic, Pro) gives your published site more features like custom domains, more bandwidth, and no Framer badge. A workspace plan is for team collaboration features. They are billed separately and need to be canceled separately.
Can I get a refund for my annual Framer plan?
Framer does not typically offer prorated refunds for annual plans. If you cancel mid-cycle, your plan stays active until the end of the period. For special circumstances, you can reach out to [email protected].
Can I export my Framer site before canceling?
Framer does not offer a traditional HTML/CSS export of your site. Your design and content remain in the Framer editor. If you want to move to another platform, you would need to rebuild the site manually or copy your content.
