Cancel Instacart+ on the Website
Sign in to Instacart
Go to instacart.com in your web browser and sign in with the account that has the Instacart+ membership. Make sure you are logged in as the account holder, not a household member.
Go to Your Instacart+ Membership page
Click the account icon (three horizontal lines or your profile) in the upper corner. From the menu, select Your Instacart+ Membership. This opens a page showing your current plan, billing date, and membership details.
Click Cancel Membership
Scroll down to the Manage your membership section. Click the Cancel Membership button. Instacart may show you information about the benefits you will lose, such as free delivery and reduced service fees.
Confirm your cancellation
Click Continue to Cancel. Instacart may ask you to select a reason for leaving and could offer you a discount or incentive to stay. If you want to proceed, click through any retention offers and confirm the cancellation. You will see a confirmation message on screen.

You can also cancel Instacart+ directly from the Instacart app on your iPhone or Android device. The process is straightforward and takes about the same amount of time.

What Happens After You Cancel Instacart+?
Benefits last until your billing period ends
Instacart does not cut off your membership immediately. You keep free delivery on orders over $35, reduced service fees, and other Instacart+ perks until the end of the billing cycle you already paid for.
You lose free delivery and reduced fees
Once your membership expires, you go back to paying standard delivery fees (which vary by order size and retailer) and full service fees on every order. This can add up quickly if you order groceries frequently.
No refunds for partial billing periods
Instacart does not offer prorated refunds. Whether you are on a monthly or annual plan, you will not receive money back for unused time after you cancel.
Your Instacart account stays active
Canceling Instacart+ does not delete your Instacart account. You can still place orders, view past orders, and use saved addresses. You just lose the membership perks like free delivery. You can also rejoin Instacart+ at any time.
