Cancel Journey on iPhone or iPad
Open Settings on your iPhone or iPad
Open the Settings app and tap your name at the top of the screen to access your Apple Account. This is where all your App Store subscriptions are managed.
Tap Subscriptions
In your Apple Account settings, tap Subscriptions. You will see all active and expired subscriptions associated with your Apple Account.
Find and tap Journey
Locate Journey - Diary, Journal in your active subscriptions list. Tap on it to see your plan details, pricing, and renewal date.
Tap Cancel Subscription and confirm
Tap Cancel Subscription at the bottom of the screen. Confirm the cancellation when prompted. You will keep access to premium features until your current billing period ends.
Subscribed Through Google Play?
Journey is also available on Android. If you subscribed through Google Play, follow these steps instead.
Cancel via Android
- 1. Open the Google Play Store app
- 2. Tap your profile icon (top right)
- 3. Tap Payments & subscriptions
- 4. Tap Subscriptions then Journey
- 5. Tap Cancel subscription and confirm
Cancel via iPhone / iPad
- 1. Open Settings on your iPhone
- 2. Tap your name at the top (Apple Account)
- 3. Tap Subscriptions
- 4. Tap Journey in the list
- 5. Tap Cancel Subscription and confirm
What Happens After You Cancel Journey?
Your journal entries stay safe
All your journal entries remain in the app and on your device. You can still read them, but some premium features like advanced search and media attachments may be limited.
Reverts to free plan
Your account drops to the free Journey tier. You will lose access to features like end-to-end encryption, custom templates, and unlimited photo attachments per entry.
Export your data first
Before canceling, use Journey's export feature to download your entries as PDF, JSON, or Markdown. This ensures you have a backup of all your journal entries outside the app.
Cloud sync may stop
Premium cloud sync across devices may be disabled after cancellation. Your entries on each device remain local, but new entries may not sync between platforms.
