Cancel Loom via Workspace Settings

1

Log in to Loom

Go to loom.com in your web browser and sign in with the workspace admin account. Only workspace admins or account owners can manage billing and subscriptions.

2

Open Workspace Settings

Navigate to Workspace Settings from the left sidebar of your Loom dashboard. This is where you manage team, billing, and plan settings.

3

Go to Plan & Billing

Select the Plan & Billing tab. Under your current plan, click Manage Subscription. This starts the downgrade flow where you can change or cancel your plan.

4

Downgrade to Starter and Confirm

Select Downgrade to Starter to begin the cancellation flow. Choose your reason for downgrading, then click Complete cancellation. You will retain paid features until your next renewal date.

Loom Managed Through Atlassian?

If your Loom account is integrated with Atlassian (for example, if your organization uses Jira or Confluence alongside Loom), you need to cancel through admin.atlassian.com/billing instead. The Loom workspace settings will not show cancellation options for Atlassian-managed accounts.

What Happens After You Cancel Loom?

Paid features last until your renewal date

Loom does not cut off access immediately. You continue to have full access to all Business features until your next renewal date. No charges will be applied at renewal.

Your videos are not deleted

Existing Loom videos remain accessible on the free Starter plan. However, you lose access to features like custom branding, engagement analytics, recording length beyond 5 minutes, and password-protected videos.

No refunds for partial billing periods

Loom does not issue prorated refunds. You retain access through the end of your current billing period but do not get money back for unused time.

Free Starter plan has recording limits

The free Starter plan limits video recordings to 5 minutes per video and has a cap on the total number of videos. Plan ahead if you need to record longer content before downgrading.
