Cancel Muse via Apple Subscriptions (iPhone/iPad)
Muse Premium is primarily managed through the Apple App Store. You cannot cancel from within the Muse app itself. Follow these steps:
Open Settings on your iPhone or iPad
Tap the Settings app on your home screen. Apple manages all app subscriptions through this central location.
Tap your name at the top
Tap your name at the top of the Settings screen to open your Apple Account settings.
Tap Subscriptions
Select Subscriptions to view all your active and expired Apple subscriptions.
Select Muse and cancel
Find Muse in the list and tap it. Tap Cancel Subscription at the bottom and confirm. Your Premium access continues until the end of your current billing period.
Subscribed Through Apple or Google?
Muse subscriptions are managed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. The cancellation must go through your device subscription settings.

What Happens After You Cancel Muse Premium?
Your Muse headband still works
The Muse headband hardware is yours to keep and will continue to function with the free version of the app. You can still do basic meditation sessions with brain-sensing feedback.
Premium content becomes locked
You lose access to premium guided meditations, sleep journeys, detailed progress analytics, and the full content library. Basic meditation sessions remain available.
Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription
Simply removing the Muse app from your device does not stop billing. You must cancel through Apple or Google subscription settings.
Your meditation history is saved
Your meditation session data and history remain in your Muse account. If you resubscribe, your progress and data will be restored.

Can I still use my Muse headband without Premium?
Yes. The Muse headband works with the free version of the app. You get basic meditation with real-time brain-sensing feedback. Premium adds guided content, sleep features, and advanced analytics.
Will I get a refund?
Refunds are handled by Apple or Google. Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com (Apple) or through the Google Play Store refund process. Approval is not guaranteed.
How do I cancel if I subscribed on the Muse website?
If you subscribed directly through the Muse website, log in to your account at choosemuse.com and navigate to your subscription settings to cancel. Contact Muse support if you cannot find the option.
Does the free trial auto-renew?
Yes. If you signed up for a free trial, it will automatically convert to a paid subscription when the trial ends. Cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends to avoid charges.
Can I resubscribe later?
Yes. You can resubscribe to Muse Premium at any time through the Muse app. Your headband will connect normally and your account data will be restored.
