How to Cancel Paramount+ (Find Your Billing Source First)
Cancelling Paramount+ is fast once you know one thing: who is actually billing you. Direct subscribers cancel on paramountplus.com in four clicks. Apple, Google, Amazon, Roku, Walmart+, and T-Mobile subscribers cannot, and the website hides the cancel button on them entirely. The table below tells you which path is yours.
Find your row, follow the link
| Where you signed up | Price (2026) | Where to cancel | Access ends | Refund? |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| paramountplus.com (direct) | $8.99/mo Essential, $13.99/mo with SHOWTIME | Account › Cancel Subscription | End of billing period | No (TOS 4.8) |
| Apple App Store | Apple sets price | iPhone Settings › Subscriptions | End of billing period | Apple-discretion only |
| Google Play | Google sets price | Play Store › Subscriptions | End of billing period | 48hr window via Google |
| Amazon Prime Video Channels | Amazon sets price | Prime Video › Channels | End of billing period | No |
| Roku Channel Store | Roku sets price | Roku remote › * › Manage Subscription | End of billing period | No |
| Walmart+ bundle | Bundled (Essential only) | Cancel Walmart+ itself | End of Walmart+ period | No partial cancel |
| T-Mobile "on Us" perk | $0 (carrier perk) | T-Life app › Shared Add-ons | End of T-Mobile billing cycle | N/A |
Not sure which row is yours? Check your last credit card statement. The merchant name tells you. Paramount+ direct shows as PARAMOUNT+ DIGITAL. Apple shows as APPLE.COM/BILL. The same Paramount+ subscription cannot exist in two places at once, but plenty of people accidentally end up with two accounts on two channels. Subcut will flag both.
Path 1 · the most common
Direct subscriber (paramountplus.com)
This is you if your card statement reads PARAMOUNT+ DIGITAL and you signed up by typing your card into paramountplus.com. Four steps, fully self-serve, no phone call.
Sign in at paramountplus.com
Use the email tied to your card. The mobile app does not have a cancel screen; it bounces you to the web anyway.
Profile icon (top right) › Account
Scroll to Subscription and Billing.
Click Cancel Subscription
A retention counter-offer of $2.99/mo for three months (about 67% off Essential) appears here automatically, per retention-offer aggregation from LowerMySubs. Take it or skip it. Both routes lead to the survey.
Survey, then confirm
Pick any reason (or no reason). Hit final confirm. The email lands within a minute or two. If it does not, the cancel did not save. Repeat.
Annual plan gotcha. If you are on an annual plan, you keep access through the renewal date but get zero refund (Terms of Use Section 4.8: "you will not be refunded for any fees you have paid"). After the January 15, 2026 price hike, annual Essential moved from $59.99/yr to $89.99/yr per Variety's reporting on the increase. Cancelling in month two means seven dollars per month for the rest of the year that you are not getting back.
Path 2 · the App Store route
Apple App Store subscriber
Your statement reads APPLE.COM/BILL. Apple owns the billing, so the paramountplus.com cancel button is greyed out for you on purpose.
- 1.Open Settings on your iPhone or iPad and tap your name at the top.
- 2.Tap Subscriptions.
- 3.Tap Paramount+ in the list of active subs.
- 4.Tap Cancel Subscription. Confirm. Access runs to the date Apple shows.
Apple does not prorate. Refund requests go through reportaproblem.apple.com, not Paramount. The Paramount help center will not process App Store refunds, full stop.
Path 3 · Android
Google Play subscriber
Signed up on Android? Your billing lives in Google Play.
- 1.Open the Google Play Store app.
- 2.Tap your profile icon, then Payments and subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
- 3.Tap Paramount+, then Cancel subscription, and confirm.
Google offers a 48-hour refund window on most digital purchases. After that, it is Paramount's no-refund rule.
Path 4 · the channel trap
Amazon Prime Video Channels subscriber
If you added Paramount+ as a "channel" inside Prime Video, Amazon bills you and the cancel happens at Amazon. The Paramount+ Account page will not show a cancel button for you. This is the single most common "I tried to cancel but it kept billing me" complaint in the dossier.
- 1.Go to amazon.com/gp/video/mystuff and sign in.
- 2.Click Prime Video Channels.
- 3.Find Paramount+, click Cancel Channel, confirm. Access runs to the end of the period.
Path 5 · remote control required
Roku Channel Store subscriber
Roku is the only major path that genuinely needs a remote in your hand.
- 1.From the Roku home screen, highlight the Paramount+ tile. Do not open it.
- 2.Press the asterisk (*) button on the remote.
- 3.Choose Manage Subscription, then Cancel Subscription.
You can also do this at my.roku.com under Manage Account if the remote is missing. Refunds, again, go to Roku, not Paramount.
Path 6 · the bundle that cannot be unbundled
Walmart+ member
Paramount+ Essential is included free with paid Walmart+ ($12.95/mo or $98/yr). There is no toggle that removes it on its own. The Walmart+ benefits help page confirms this directly. Your only options:
- •Keep it. If you are paying for Walmart+ anyway, Paramount+ Essential is free. Cancelling it makes no financial sense unless you actively dislike having the app on your TV.
- •Cancel Walmart+. Sign in at walmart.com, go to Walmart+ in your account, click Manage membership, then Cancel. You lose free shipping and fuel discounts too.
- •Upgrade to Paramount+ with SHOWTIME. If you want the ad-free SHOWTIME tier, you can pay Paramount directly for the upgrade on top of the included Essential. Cancelling that paid upgrade does not affect the Walmart+ bundled Essential.
Path 7 · the carrier perk
T-Mobile "Paramount+ on Us" subscriber
The T-Mobile community forums are full of people trying to cancel Paramount+ on paramountplus.com and finding the option missing. This thread is one of dozens. The cancel lives at T-Mobile because T-Mobile is paying Paramount on your behalf.
- 1.Open the T-Life app or sign in at T-Mobile.com.
- 2.Go to View Account, then Shared Add-ons, then Manage add-ons.
- 3.Deselect Paramount+ and save. Access runs to the end of your T-Mobile billing cycle.
Things that bite people across all seven paths
A "Showtime" charge is now Paramount+ with SHOWTIME.
Standalone Showtime shut down June 27, 2023, and every account was rolled into Paramount+ with SHOWTIME (CableTV merger explainer). Cancel it as Paramount+; there's no separate Showtime flow.
Free trials are gone
Paramount+ eliminated free trials in Q4 2025, per NickALive's reporting. Older cancel guides telling you to "cancel before the trial ends" are out of date. If you signed up in 2026, you were charged on day one. There is no trial buffer.
Two accounts on two channels
A common pattern from the Apple Community charge-after-cancel thread: you cancelled Paramount+ in your iPhone Settings, but the charge that keeps appearing is from a separate direct paramountplus.com account someone in your household set up two years ago. Same brand, two billing relationships. Check both. Then check Amazon, Roku, and your TV-bundle bill.
A class-action paper trail worth knowing
Three separate class actions sit behind Paramount+ as of 2026: a federal auto-renewal suit alleging charges continued after free-trial cancellation, a November 2024 VPPA case over viewing-data sharing with Facebook and TikTok, and a Florida case over late-night debt-collection emails. The Skydance merger closed on August 7, 2025, but none of those cases vanished with it. The practical lesson: screenshot every step of your cancel, and keep the confirmation email.
Wait, do you want to cancel or just downgrade?
- •Downgrade with SHOWTIME ($13.99/mo) to Essential ($8.99/mo). Saves $60/yr. NFL on CBS and UFC are both included in Essential. You lose ad-free streaming, live local CBS, premium SHOWTIME originals, some download features. Account › Subscription and Billing › Change Plan.
- •Take the $2.99/mo retention offer for three months. Roughly 67% off, auto-triggers in the cancel flow about 55% of the time per LowerMySubs.
No "pause" option. You either reactivate later or stay gone.
Questions people actually ask
Does with SHOWTIME cancel differently from Essential?
No. Both tiers use the same cancel path. What matters is the billing source: paramountplus.com, Apple, Google, Amazon, Roku, Walmart+, or T-Mobile.
Will Paramount+ refund my annual plan?
No. Terms of Use Section 4.8 is explicit: "you will not be refunded for any fees you have paid." You keep access until renewal. After the January 2026 hike to $89.99/yr, mid-year cancel regret hits harder.
How do I remove the T-Mobile Paramount+ perk?
Not on paramountplus.com. Sign in to T-Life, go to View Account › Shared Add-ons › Manage Add-ons, deselect Paramount+. Access ends with your T-Mobile cycle.
What happened to my standalone Showtime subscription?
Standalone Showtime shut down June 27, 2023. Every account migrated into Paramount+ with SHOWTIME. Cancel it as Paramount+.
Can I cancel Paramount+ if I got it through Walmart+?
No. Paramount+ Essential is bundled into paid Walmart+. The only way to remove it is to cancel Walmart+ itself.
I cancelled and I am still being charged.
Three checks: (1) you cancelled in the wrong place (direct does nothing if Apple/Amazon/Roku/T-Mobile bills you); (2) two accounts on two channels; (3) the charge is now labelled Paramount+ with SHOWTIME post-merger. A 2023 federal class action alleged charges continued after cancellation, so screenshot every step.
Now that Paramount+ is off the card, what else slipped through?
The same seven-billing-source mess that hides your Paramount+ cancel button hides plenty of other charges too. Subcut shows every recurring line on your card in about 60 seconds, including the ones routed through Apple, Amazon, and your phone bill.
