What Happens After You Cancel TradingView?

You keep premium features until billing period ends

After canceling, your Pro, Pro+, or Premium features remain active until the end of your current billing cycle. You can continue using multiple charts, indicators, and alerts until then.

Your account reverts to the free Basic plan

Once your paid period expires, your account becomes a free Basic account. You will be limited to 1 chart per tab, 2 indicators per chart, and 1 active alert. Your saved charts and layouts remain accessible.

Excess alerts will be deactivated

If you have more alerts than the free plan allows (1 active alert), your extra alerts will be paused. TradingView will not delete them, but they will not trigger until you resubscribe or manually reduce to the free limit.

Published ideas and scripts stay live

Any trading ideas, scripts, or strategies you have published on TradingView will remain publicly available even after canceling. Your community reputation and followers are preserved.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will I get a refund if I cancel TradingView?

TradingView offers a 14-day refund policy on annual subscriptions if you have not used the refund previously. Monthly subscriptions are generally non-refundable. To request a refund, contact TradingView support through the Help Center.

Can I downgrade instead of canceling?

Yes. Instead of canceling entirely, you can downgrade to a lower tier (for example, from Premium to Pro). Go to your Billing settings and select a different plan. The change takes effect at the start of your next billing cycle.

How do I cancel a TradingView free trial?

Cancel a free trial the same way as a paid subscription: go to Settings, then Billing, and click Cancel Plan. Make sure to cancel before the trial ends to avoid being charged for the first billing period.

Will TradingView offer me a discount if I try to cancel?

Yes. TradingView often presents retention offers when you attempt to cancel, such as a discounted annual rate or a free month. These can be significant savings if you are considering staying. You can always decline and proceed with cancellation.

Can I resubscribe after canceling?

Yes. You can resubscribe at any time by going to your TradingView account and selecting a new plan. Your charts, layouts, and published content will still be there. Watch for seasonal sales like Black Friday for the best prices.
