How to Cancel Truecaller Premium
The reason you can't find a cancel button inside Truecaller is that there isn't one. Premium gets billed by Apple or Google, so the cancel lives there too. About five taps once you know where to look.

The cancel button is not inside the Truecaller app.
Open Truecaller, tap the Premium tab, and you'll see your plan, your renewal date, and a tidy badge. No Cancel button, no Manage Subscription link. This is the single most common confusion in Google Play support threads about Truecaller.
Truecaller is Sweden-based with roughly 350 million users globally, the bulk in India. Consumer Premium runs entirely on Apple and Google billing rails, so neither Truecaller nor its support email can stop a charge. The store can. Here's the path.
The five-tap cancel
- 1 Open Settings, tap your name at the top.
- 2 Tap Subscriptions.
- 3 Tap Truecaller in the list.
- 4 Tap Cancel Subscription.
- 5 Tap Confirm.
- 1 Open Google Play, tap your profile icon.
- 2 Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
- 3 Tap Truecaller: Premium Caller ID.
- 4 Tap Cancel subscription, pick any reason.
- 5 Tap Cancel subscription again.
The Android reason dropdown is Google's analytics, not Truecaller's. Pick whatever; it does nothing. Confirmation lands by email within a minute. No email means the cancel didn't save.
When the charge actually stops
Premium access runs to the end of the current period, then drops to free. No prorated refund. The one timing rule: cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date, or the next charge is already in flight.
Deleting the app does nothing to the subscription, which is the other recurring confusion in Play Store complaint threads (one user reported a ₹5,000 charge after uninstalling). The subscription lives at the store, not on the device.
Premium, Premium Annual, Gold: same cancel path
All three tiers cancel through the same store flow above. Truecaller's product copy claims Gold has "no cancellation option, no refunds," (Truecaller's framing), but Apple and Google rules outrank marketing copy. The five-tap path ends future Gold billing too.
| Tier | Billing | Cancel path |
|---|---|---|
| Premium (monthly) | ~$2.99 US / ₹29–132 IN | Five-tap store flow above |
| Premium Annual | ~$19.99 US / ₹549–925 IN | Same path, no prorated refund |
| Gold (annual) | Annual only | Same path. Ends next renewal, no refund of current year |
Family Plan (Android only): only the primary member can cancel. Sub-members lose access at period end. If a tier doesn't appear in your store subscriptions, contact Apple or Google directly. Truecaller cannot stop a charge it isn't processing.
Questions people actually ask
Why is there no cancel button inside the Truecaller app?
Apple and Google require subscription management to live inside their stores, so Truecaller's Premium screen only shows status. There's no setting to flip, no hidden menu. The button is in Settings (iOS) or Google Play (Android), not in Truecaller.
I deleted the app. Why am I still being charged?
Uninstalling doesn't cancel. The charge lives at Apple or Google. Reinstalling isn't needed; just go to your store's Subscriptions page and end it there. This is the single most repeated question in Play support threads about Truecaller.
I cancelled but got charged anyway. What now?
Either the cancel happened less than 24 hours before renewal, or it didn't save (check for the email receipt). Refund requests go to Apple via reportaproblem.apple.com or to Google via the dispute flow on the subscription page. Truecaller support cannot refund money it never collected.
Can I cancel Truecaller Gold mid-year?
You can stop the next renewal, yes, despite Truecaller's "no cancellation" copy. The same five-tap store path works. You won't get the remaining months refunded, but the annual charge won't repeat. If Gold isn't listed in your store subscriptions, contact Apple or Google.
Now that Truecaller is off the list, what else is lurking?
If Truecaller was charging you quietly, odds are something else is too. Subcut shows every recurring charge on your card in about 60 seconds, no bank login required.
