What Happens After You Cancel Twitch Turbo?

Ad-free viewing continues until your billing period ends

You keep all Turbo benefits including ad-free viewing, custom chat colors, and extended broadcast storage until the end of your current billing cycle.

Ads will return after expiration

Once your billing period ends, your viewing experience reverts to the standard Twitch format with advertisements on streams. Your custom chat color options will also be reduced to defaults.

Channel subscriptions are not affected

Canceling Twitch Turbo does not cancel your individual channel subscriptions. Those are managed separately. If you want to cancel those too, you need to do it on each channel's subscription page.

You can resubscribe anytime

If you decide you want Turbo benefits back, you can resubscribe at any time from the Twitch Turbo page. Your account and preferences remain intact.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will I get a refund after canceling Twitch Turbo?

No. Twitch does not provide refunds for the remaining days of your billing period. You will continue to enjoy Turbo perks until the end of the cycle you paid for, but no money will be returned.

What is the difference between Twitch Turbo and a channel sub?

Twitch Turbo is a site-wide subscription that removes ads on all channels, gives you custom chat colors, an expanded emote set, and extended broadcast storage. A channel subscription supports a specific streamer and unlocks their custom emotes and badges. They are completely separate.

Can I cancel Twitch Turbo from the mobile app?

If you subscribed through the Twitch website, you should cancel from the website. If you subscribed through an app store (Apple or Google), cancel through that platform's subscription settings on your device.

Does canceling Twitch Turbo delete my account?

No. Canceling Turbo only ends your premium subscription. Your Twitch account, followers, followed channels, and all your data remain untouched. You simply lose the Turbo-specific perks when the billing period ends.
