Cancel Amazon Prime Video on the Website
Sign in to Amazon
Go to amazon.com (or amazon.in for India) in your browser and sign in with the Amazon account that has the Prime Video subscription. Make sure you are using the primary account holder login.
Go to Your Prime Video Settings
Navigate to Account & Lists in the top-right corner, then click Your Account. From there, look for Prime Video Channels & Subscriptions or Manage Your Prime Membership. Alternatively, go directly to amazon.com/gp/video/settings.
Find Your Prime Video Subscription
Under Your Subscriptions, locate your Prime Video standalone subscription. If you have Prime Video through a full Amazon Prime membership, you will see it listed under Prime membership instead. Click Cancel subscription or Cancel channel next to Prime Video.
Confirm Cancellation
Amazon will show you a confirmation page explaining what you will lose. They may offer a discount to stay. Click Cancel Subscription or End Membership to finalize. You will receive a confirmation email from Amazon.
Have full Amazon Prime instead?
If you have a full Amazon Prime membership (which includes Prime Video, free shipping, Prime Music, etc.), canceling just Prime Video is not possible. You would need to cancel your entire Prime membership. Check our Cancel Amazon Prime guide for those steps.
Subscribed Through Apple or Google?
If you signed up for Prime Video through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store (common on mobile devices), you need to cancel through those platforms instead of the Amazon website.

- 3. Tap Subscriptions
- 4. Tap Prime Video in the list

What Happens After You Cancel Amazon Prime Video?
Purchased content remains accessible
Any movies or TV shows you have purchased (not rented) through Amazon will still be available in your Amazon Video library. Only content included free with Prime Video becomes unavailable.
Access continues until billing period ends
You retain full Prime Video access until the end of your current billing cycle. Amazon does not cut off access immediately upon cancellation.
Add-on channel subscriptions are also canceled
If you have any Prime Video Channels add-ons (like Lionsgate Play, Discovery+, etc.), these will also be canceled when your Prime Video subscription ends. They cannot exist without an active Prime Video base subscription.
Refund possible if you have not watched anything
Amazon may offer a full refund if you have not used any Prime Video benefits since your latest billing date. During the cancellation process, Amazon will tell you whether you are eligible for a refund.

Can I cancel just Prime Video and keep Amazon Prime?
If you have a full Amazon Prime membership, Prime Video is included as part of it. You cannot remove just the video portion. You would need to cancel the entire Prime membership. However, if you have a standalone Prime Video subscription (without shipping benefits), you can cancel that independently.
Will I lose my watchlist after canceling?
Your watchlist and viewing history are tied to your Amazon account, not your Prime Video subscription. If you resubscribe later, your watchlist and history will still be there. Your Amazon account itself is not affected by canceling Prime Video.
What about Prime Video channels I subscribed to?
Add-on channels purchased through Prime Video (like discovery+, Lionsgate Play, MGM+, etc.) will be canceled when your base Prime Video subscription ends. You may need to subscribe to those services directly through their own apps or websites if you want to continue.
How do I cancel Prime Video on amazon.in (India)?
For Indian users, go to amazon.in, sign in, navigate to Account > Prime Membership, and click End Membership. The process is similar to amazon.com. Note that in India, Prime Video is often bundled with Amazon Prime, so canceling may affect your free delivery benefits as well.
Can I get a refund for my annual Prime Video plan?
