What Happens After You Cancel Brevo?

Your contacts are preserved

All contacts remain in your account if you downgrade to the free plan. You can export them at any time as a CSV file from the Contacts section.

Daily email limit drops significantly

The free Brevo plan limits you to 300 emails per day. If you have a large list, this may not be enough to reach all your subscribers in a single campaign send.

Automation workflows stop running

Marketing automation, advanced segmentation, and A/B testing features are disabled on the free plan. Active automation workflows will stop executing.

Transactional emails may be affected

If you use Brevo for transactional emails (order confirmations, password resets), check that these still work within the free plan limits before canceling.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Brevo the same as Sendinblue?

Yes. Sendinblue rebranded to Brevo in 2023. Your existing Sendinblue login credentials work on app.brevo.com. All features and data were migrated automatically.

Can I downgrade Brevo to a free plan?

Yes. Brevo offers a free plan with up to 300 emails per day and unlimited contacts. This is a good option if you want to keep your account and data while reducing costs.

How do I export my contacts before canceling?

Go to Contacts in the left menu, select the contacts you want to export, and click Export. You can download them as a CSV file. Do this before deleting your account.

Does Brevo offer refunds?

Brevo does not typically issue refunds for partial billing periods. Your paid features stay active until the end of your current billing cycle after you cancel or downgrade.

What happens to my email templates after canceling?

Your email templates are preserved if you downgrade to the free plan. They remain in your account and you can still use them for future campaigns within the free plan limits.
