Log in to Calendly
Go to calendly.com in your web browser and sign in with the account that has admin or owner access. Only account owners and admins can modify billing settings.
Go to Admin Center Billing
Navigate to the Admin Center (click the gear icon or your profile), then find the Billing page. This is where your current plan, billing cycle, and payment information are displayed.
Click Change Plan
On the Billing page, select Change plan, then choose Upgrade/Downgrade. This shows all available Calendly plans, including the Free tier.
Select Free Plan and Confirm
Choose the Free plan to cancel your paid subscription. Follow the confirmation prompts. Your paid features remain active until the end of your current billing cycle, after which your account automatically moves to the Free plan.
What Happens After You Cancel Calendly?
Paid features last until the billing cycle ends
Calendly does not cut off access immediately. You keep all Professional or Teams features until the end of your current billing period, then your account moves to the Free plan.
Existing booked events are preserved
Canceling your subscription does not delete your existing booked events. They remain in your calendar and in Calendly. However, advanced event types (like group events or round-robin routing) become unavailable on the free plan.
Refunds are reviewed case by case
Unlike many SaaS tools, Calendly may consider refund requests on a case-by-case basis. After canceling, contact the billing team at [email protected] if you believe you are entitled to a refund.
Free plan limits apply
The free plan limits you to one active event type and basic scheduling features. If you have multiple event types configured, only one will remain active. Integrations and custom branding also become unavailable.
Frequently Asked Questions
What happens to my scheduled events after canceling?
Existing booked events remain on your account and in your connected calendar. Canceling your paid plan does not delete or modify any events that are already scheduled. They will still happen as planned.
Can I get a refund from Calendly?
Refunds are not guaranteed but are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. After canceling, you can contact Calendly's billing team at [email protected] to request a refund and explain your situation.
Should I downgrade or delete my Calendly account?
If you think you might return to Calendly in the future, downgrade to the free plan instead of deleting your account. Deleting is permanent and cannot be undone, and you will lose all event types, integrations, and scheduling history.
How many event types can I keep on the free plan?
Calendly's free plan allows one active event type. If you have multiple event types configured on a paid plan, you will need to choose which one to keep active after downgrading.
Can I resubscribe to Calendly after canceling?
Yes. You can upgrade back to a Professional or Teams plan at any time through the Billing page. Your account data, scheduling links, and event history will still be available.
