Cancel DistroKid on the Website
Log in to DistroKid
Go to distrokid.com in your web browser and sign in with the account you want to cancel. Make sure you are logged in to the correct account.
Go to Bank/Payment Settings
Navigate to distrokid.com/bank/ or find the Bank section in your account menu. This page shows your payment details and subscription renewal settings.
Find Auto-Renewal Settings
Look for the auto-renewal or subscription renewal toggle on the page. DistroKid operates on an annual subscription model, so this controls whether your plan renews at the end of the year.
Disable Auto-Renew
Toggle off auto-renewal or click the option to cancel. Confirm your choice when prompted. Your account will remain active until the end of your current annual billing period, but will not renew after that.
Subscribed Through Apple or Google?
DistroKid subscriptions are typically purchased directly through their website. If you subscribed through the App Store or Google Play, cancel through those platforms instead.

What Happens After You Cancel DistroKid?
Access continues until your annual period ends
DistroKid subscriptions are annual. After canceling auto-renewal, you keep full access until your current year expires. You can still upload music and manage releases during this time.
Your music will be taken down from stores
This is the most important thing to know. After your subscription expires, DistroKid will remove your music from Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, and all other platforms. This process may take a few weeks.
Leave a Legacy can keep music up
If you purchased the optional "Leave a Legacy" add-on for specific releases before canceling, those releases will stay on streaming platforms even after your subscription ends.
Collect any remaining royalties first
Before canceling, make sure you have withdrawn any pending royalties from your DistroKid bank. Set up your withdrawal method and request payment for any earnings that have accumulated.
