Cancel Dropbox Sign on the Website
Sign in to Dropbox Sign
Go to app.hellosign.com and sign in with your email or Dropbox account. If you have a Dropbox account, you can use those credentials.
Navigate to Billing settings
Click your profile icon in the top-right corner, then go to Settings. Select the Billing tab to view your current plan and payment details.
Click Cancel Plan or Downgrade
Under your plan details, click Cancel Plan or Downgrade to Free. Dropbox Sign may present retention offers before proceeding.
Download documents and confirm
Before confirming, download any important signed documents. Then click Confirm Cancellation. Your paid features remain active until the end of your billing period.
Subscribed Through Apple or Google?
If you subscribed to Dropbox Sign through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, cancel through those platforms instead.

- 2. Tap your name at the top (Apple Account)
- 3. Tap Subscriptions
- 4. Tap Dropbox Sign in the list
- 5. Tap Cancel Subscription and confirm

- 1. Open the Google Play Store app
- 2. Tap your profile icon (top right)
- 3. Tap Payments & subscriptions
- 4. Tap Subscriptions then Dropbox Sign

What Happens After You Cancel Dropbox Sign?
Signed documents remain legally valid
All documents you have signed or received signatures on remain legally binding regardless of your subscription status. Download copies for your records.
Signature requests are limited
On the free plan, you are limited to a small number of signature requests per month. Templates and bulk sending features are no longer available.
Download your documents first
Before canceling, download all signed documents from your account. While they may remain accessible on the free tier, it is safer to have local copies of important legal documents.
API access is revoked
If you use the Dropbox Sign API for integrations, API access will be downgraded or revoked when your paid plan ends. Update any workflows that depend on the API.

Is Dropbox Sign the same as HelloSign?
Yes. HelloSign was acquired by Dropbox and rebranded to Dropbox Sign. Your existing account credentials still work, and you can access the platform at app.hellosign.com.
Are my signed documents still valid after canceling?
Absolutely. E-signatures created through Dropbox Sign are legally binding under the ESIGN Act and eIDAS regulation. Canceling your subscription does not invalidate any previously signed documents.
Can I cancel Dropbox Sign without canceling Dropbox?
Yes. Dropbox Sign and Dropbox cloud storage are separate subscriptions. Canceling one does not affect the other.
