Cancel Zoom on the Web Portal

1

Sign in to the Zoom Web Portal

Go to zoom.us in your web browser and sign in with the account that has the paid subscription. You need to use the web portal, not the Zoom desktop or mobile app.

2

Go to Account Management and Billing

From the navigation panel on the left side, click Account Management, then click Billing. This takes you to the billing overview showing all your active plans and add-ons.

3

Locate Your Plan Under Current Plans

Under the Current Plans tab, find the Zoom plan you want to cancel (such as Zoom Pro, Zoom Business, or any add-on). Each plan will have its own management options.

4

Click Cancel Plan

Click Cancel Plan next to the subscription you want to end. Zoom will ask you to confirm by clicking Cancel Subscription. You may be asked to provide a reason. After confirming, your plan will be canceled at the end of your current billing period.

Subscribed Through Apple or Google?

If you subscribed to Zoom through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, you need to cancel through those platforms. The Zoom web portal may not show a cancel option for app store subscriptions.

What Happens After You Cancel Zoom?

Paid features stay active until your billing period ends

Zoom does not revoke paid features immediately. You can continue hosting long meetings, using cloud recording, and accessing all Pro features until the end of your current billing period.

You are downgraded to the free Basic plan

After your billing period ends, your account switches to the free Basic plan. You can still host unlimited 1-on-1 meetings and group meetings up to 40 minutes with up to 100 participants.

Download your cloud recordings within 30 days

After cancellation, you have 30 days to download or transfer any cloud recordings. After that window, they are permanently deleted. Local recordings stored on your computer are not affected.

Annual plans: cancel 30 days before renewal

If you are on an annual plan, Zoom requires cancellation at least 30 days before your subscription renewal date to avoid being auto-renewed for another year. Check your billing page for the exact renewal date.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will I get a refund if I cancel Zoom?

Zoom may offer refunds in certain circumstances, particularly for recent purchases. Contact Zoom customer support directly to inquire about refund eligibility for your specific subscription and situation.

What happens to my cloud recordings?

After your paid plan expires, you have 30 days to download your cloud recordings. After that, they are permanently deleted and cannot be recovered. Download any important recordings before or shortly after canceling.

Can I still host meetings on the free plan?

Yes. The free Basic plan allows unlimited 1-on-1 meetings and group meetings with up to 100 participants for up to 40 minutes per session. Features like cloud recording and long group meetings require a paid plan.

Can I cancel from the Zoom desktop app?

No. You must cancel through the Zoom web portal at zoom.us. The desktop application and mobile apps do not have subscription management options for directly purchased plans.

What if my employer provides Zoom?

If your Zoom account is managed by your organization, you cannot cancel the subscription yourself. The account is administered by your company's IT department. If you leave the organization, your access is typically revoked automatically.
