Cancel Grubhub+ via the App or Website
Open the Grubhub app or website
Open the Grubhub app on your phone or go to grubhub.com in your web browser. Sign in with the account that has the Grubhub+ membership.
Go to your Account settings
In the app, tap your profile icon or the Account tab at the bottom. On the website, click your name or profile icon in the top-right corner. Then select Account or Settings.
Find the Grubhub+ Membership section
Look for Grubhub+ membership or Membership in your account settings. Tap or click on it to view your membership details, including your next billing date and plan type.
Tap Cancel Membership
Tap or click Cancel membership (or Turn off auto-renew). Grubhub may show you a summary of the benefits you will lose and try to offer you a discount or suggest downgrading. Decline these if you want to fully cancel.
Confirm your cancellation
Confirm by tapping Cancel membership on the final prompt. Your Grubhub+ benefits will remain active until the end of your current billing cycle. You will receive a confirmation email.
Subscribed Through Apple or Google?
If you subscribed to Grubhub+ through the App Store or Google Play, or if you have Grubhub+ as part of your Amazon Prime membership, you will need to cancel through those platforms instead.
Cancel via iPhone / iPad
- 1. Open Settings on your iPhone
- 2. Tap your name at the top (Apple Account)
- 3. Tap Subscriptions
- 4. Tap Grubhub+ in the list
- 5. Tap Cancel Subscription and confirm
Cancel via Android
- 1. Open the Google Play Store app
- 2. Tap your profile icon (top right)
- 3. Tap Payments & subscriptions
- 4. Tap Subscriptions then Grubhub+
- 5. Tap Cancel subscription and confirm
Grubhub+ Through Amazon Prime
If you receive Grubhub+ as part of your Amazon Prime membership, you cannot cancel it through the Grubhub app. To remove Grubhub+, go to amazon.com > Account > Prime Membership > Manage Prime Membership and look for the Grubhub+ benefit to disconnect it. Note that this does not cancel your Amazon Prime membership itself.
What Happens After You Cancel Grubhub+?
Benefits last until your billing period ends
Your Grubhub+ benefits (free delivery, lower service fees, member deals) remain active through the end of your current billing cycle. You will not be charged again after that date.
Your Grubhub account stays active
Canceling Grubhub+ does not delete your Grubhub account. You can still order food, view your order history, and use the app. You will simply pay standard delivery and service fees on all orders.
Delivery fees return immediately after expiration
Once your membership period ends, you will see delivery fees and higher service fees on your next order. Grubhub+ typically saves members on orders over $12, so factor this into your decision.
You can resubscribe at any time
Grubhub+ can be reactivated from your account settings whenever you want. Grubhub may also offer you promotional pricing or a free trial to return, especially if you wait a few weeks.
