Most Tinder users subscribe through Apple or Google Play. Simply uninstalling Tinder from your phone will not stop billing. You must cancel through your device's subscription settings.
Cancel Tinder via iPhone (Most Common)
Open Settings on your iPhone
Tap the Settings app on your iPhone home screen. This is the gray gear icon that comes with every iPhone.
Tap your name at the top
At the very top of Settings, tap your name (your Apple Account). This opens your Apple ID settings where you can manage subscriptions, payment methods, and more.
Tap Subscriptions
Scroll down and tap Subscriptions. You will see a list of all your active and expired subscriptions managed through Apple.
Select Tinder
Find and tap Tinder in the active subscriptions list. It may show as Tinder Gold, Tinder Plus, or Tinder Platinum depending on your plan.
Tap Cancel Subscription and confirm
Tap Cancel Subscription at the bottom of the screen and confirm when prompted. Your premium features will remain active until the end of your current billing period. You will not be charged again.
Cancel on Android or via Tinder Website
If you subscribed through Google Play or directly on the Tinder website, use one of these methods instead. Check your email receipts or bank statement to determine who is billing you.

Cancel via Tinder Website
- 1. Go to tinder.com and log in
- 2. Click your profile icon
- 3. Go to Manage Payment Account
- 4. Find your subscription tier
- 5. Click Cancel Subscription and confirm
This method only works if you subscribed directly with a credit card through Tinder, not through Apple or Google.
What Happens After You Cancel Tinder?
Your profile stays active
Canceling your paid subscription does not delete your Tinder profile. You will still appear in other people's card stacks and can continue swiping with the free version of the app.
Matches and messages are preserved
All your existing matches and conversation history remain intact. You do not lose your connections when downgrading from a paid plan to the free tier.
You lose premium features immediately at period end
Once your billing period expires, you lose access to unlimited likes, Super Likes, Boosts, Passport (location changing), Rewind, and the ability to see who liked you. These features are exclusive to Gold, Plus, and Platinum tiers.
Free swiping limits return
Without a subscription, you go back to a limited number of daily right-swipes. The exact number varies by region and account, but it is significantly less than the unlimited swipes offered by paid plans.
