How to cancel Walmart+ (and the five perks that vanish with it)

Cancelling Walmart+ is easy: about 90 seconds, five clicks. The part Walmart does not spell out is that one membership covers several perks and they all expire on the same day.

What ends at billing-period end

Walmart+ bundles multiple benefits into one membership. All expire on the same date.

1
Free unlimited delivery on $35+ orders. Per-order fees of $7.95 to $9.95 return (CNBC overview).
2
$0.10/gallon fuel discount at Walmart, Murphy, and Sam's Club stations.
3
Paramount+ Essential or Peacock Premium (whichever you picked). No carry-over.
4
Burger King Royal Perks and accelerated Walmart Rewards on W+ purchases.

The cancel itself: 5 clicks

Sign in at walmart.com and open your Walmart+ page. If you see Cancel Membership, Walmart is your biller. If it says billed through Apple or Google, see the note below.

  1. 1
Click your name (top right), choose Walmart+. App: Account, then Walmart+.
  2. 2
Manage Membership, then Manage by Walmart+ Plan.
  3. 3
Cancel Membership. Skip the reason survey.
  4. 4
Read the perks-loss interstitial. No retention offer behind it.

Submit. Confirmation email arrives in minutes. Phone backup: (800) 924-9206.

App-store billing fork: if you subscribed through iOS or Google Play, walmart.com cannot cancel you. Apple: Settings, your name, Subscriptions, Walmart+, Cancel. Google: Play Store, Payments & Subscriptions, Walmart+, Cancel. Pine AI's guide calls this the most common false-cancel.

The thing Walmart does not put in the cancel flow

You cannot swap your streaming pick on the way out.

Late 2024 introduced a choice between Paramount+ Essential and Peacock Premium (Variety coverage), but you can only switch once every 90 days. Whichever service you have at cancellation is the one that ends. If you already pay for Paramount+ or Peacock directly, that direct sub is unaffected. If you activated the W+ benefit while keeping the direct sub, you have been double-paying. Check both billers.

To keep watching, start a fresh standalone sub on cancellation day; the W+ benefit does not roll over. The Peacock and Paramount+ guides cover this fork from the other side.

When the charge actually stops

Perks run through the billing end date in your confirmation email. No prorated refund on monthly. The only documented refund path is the 30-day annual window: only if you have used no perks since the charge, and only by calling (800) 924-9206. Once you use delivery, gas, BK, or streaming even once in those 30 days, the refund is gone.

Questions Walmart+ subscribers actually ask

Does Walmart refund the unused part of my Walmart+ year?

Almost never. No prorated refunds on monthly. The one exception: annual plan within 30 days of charge if you have used zero perks. Call (800) 924-9206.

I signed up for the free trial and got charged $98. What now?

Try the 30-day no-perk-used refund first. Call Customer Care and ask for a goodwill refund citing unintended conversion. If refused, dispute with your card issuer as an unintended auto-renewal under California BPC 17602 or ROSCA. A JustAnswer thread documents a $106.82 annual case.

What happens to my Paramount+ or Peacock when I cancel?

It ends with the membership at period end. To keep watching, start a fresh standalone sub directly. You can only swap between Paramount+ and Peacock every 90 days, so you cannot flip on your way out.

Now that Walmart+ is off the list, what else is lurking?

Bundled memberships are sneaky: one line item, several perks. Subcut shows every recurring charge in about 60 seconds and flags renewals before they hit.
